Hi, I'm Salma Amin,
7+ years driving design for B2B SaaS & enterprise platforms
From 0-1 to Scale - Leading product designing end to end
Senior Product Designer with a PhD in Management
Designing how system behave in real world complexity

About me
I’m a Senior Product Designer with 7+ years of experience leading the design of 0→1 products and large-scale B2B platforms—specializing in simplifying complex systems and improving how businesses operate at scale.
My work focuses on designing role-based enterprise workflows that are intuitive, efficient, and resilient in real-world conditions. I bring a strong scenario-thinking approach—anticipating edge cases, failure points, and system behaviors early to reduce friction and drive better outcomes.
I hold a PhD in Management and a BSc in Computer Science, bringing together systems-level thinking, business strategy, and technical depth. My doctoral research explored skill shortages in the financial services sector using systems thinking methods such as feedback loop modeling and leverage point analysis, leading to a software-based solution currently under exploration for patent and simulation.
Before transitioning into product design, I worked as a counselor, center coordinator in BPO training institutes, and as a visiting faculty in management—building a strong foundation in human behavior, learning systems, and organizational dynamics.
This cross-disciplinary background enables me to quickly understand new domains, navigate complex problem spaces, and design within technical and operational constraints—while aligning closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders.

My Approach
Great UX starts with defining the right problem. I focus heavily on discovery and framing—ensuring we solve root causes, not just symptoms.
My approach combines three complementary thinking lenses:
Design Thinking to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points
Systems Thinking to map the broader ecosystem of stakeholders, dependencies, and constraints
Scenario Thinking to anticipate how systems behave over time, including edge cases and real-world variability
This allows me to design solutions that are not only user-friendly, but also scalable, resilient, and aligned with long-term business outcomes.

Case Studies
Selected B2B enterprise projects where I’ve led end-to-end product design—spanning 0→1 platform creation and large-scale system redesigns.
These case studies are presented in a concise, text-first format to highlight problem framing, design decisions, and business impact.
More detailed walkthroughs and visuals can be shared upon request.
Logistics Aggregator Platform
Redesigned the platform to support expansion across features, operations, and regions—structuring workflows for scalable multi-user, multi-region operations and improving operational accuracy through reduced errors.
Logistics Tech | B2B Platform | Redesign for Scale | Multi-User Systems | Multi-Region Operations — Middle East
Omnichannel eCommerce | B2B SaaS | 0→1 Systems Design | MVP | Role-Based Workflows
Omnichannel eCommerce Order Management System (OMS)
Architected an omnichannel OMS from the ground up—defining the MVP and designing the foundation for scale through structured data, workflows, and system behavior, enabling accurate and scalable multi-channel operations.
